The churches in Rivas

The churches in Rivas have some of the finest examples of colonial architecture and barroco interiors in all of Nicaragua. San Pedro church in the central park. Myth tells us that, many years ago for safety and escaped purpose , there was a very long tunnel built which leads from the church San Francisco Church-and then beyond. it is said that over three million eggs were used in lieu of concrete mix in the construction of San Pedro. besides being an excellent example  of colonial period architecture while distinctively different from San Pedro.San Francisco church it is said that an indian face was painted on the church by on of the workers, who was an indigenous(indian)- and this face points towards a treasure.
